Eric Gebhard, Camp Staff Member

Coach Gebhard has been part of the SNC Men’s Soccer Coaching Staff since 2013. Currently he serves as the teams Head Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach. In his first year as part of the SNC Men’s Staff he helped lead the team to a Midwest Conference Tournament Final just two years removed from a 2-14-1 season. In his second year with the team Coach Gebhard helped the team finish with an 11-4-3 record the programs best season since 2008. In his third year with the team, Coach Gebhard helped the team to an 11-5-3 record. Last season, Coach Gebhard assisted the team to a 16-4-1 record and a Midwestern Conference Tournament Championship.

In addition to St. Norbert he has mentored goalies at University of Wisconsin Parkside, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and University of Minnesota St. Paul Northwestern as well as many high school varsity goalkeepers. 

Coach Gebhard has been coaching high school, club and collegiate soccer for over 20 years.  His coaching tenure includes time with Allouez Extreme U16-18 girls, DePere Select State Premier U16-U18 Boys and DePere Select U18 Girls State Runners Up. In 2015 14 players who trained directly under Coach Gebhard have signed to play collegiate soccer including three athletic scholarships.

Derek Rhodes, Camp Director

Derek Rhodes is in his fifth year as the head men’s soccer coach at St. Norbert College.

Coach Rhodes has completed his Fifth year as the Men's Head Coach at St. Norbert College. Just four years removed from a 2-14-1 season, the Green Knights won their eighth overall Midwest Conference Championship in 2015 and in 2016 won the MWC Conference Tournament Championship for the first time since 2006 and earning the Green Knights their first NCAA Tournament appearance in over ten years.

Prior to arriving at St. Norbert, Rhodes has four seasons as the head boys’ soccer coach at Ashwaubenon High School (2008-2011). From 2004 to 2007, Rhodes was an assistant coach at St. Norbert under his father, Dale, when the Green Knights won three Midwest Conference championships and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament three times.

Under Rhodes, Ashwaubenon finished 59-26-9. The Jaguars won the Fox River Classic Conference in 2010, their first conference championship in 19 years. Ashwaubenon also won the FRCC West Division title in 2008.

During Rhodes’ tenure as an assistant at St. Norbert, the Green Knights posted a 61-14-4 overall record and went 34-1-1 in Midwest Conference play. The 2004 squad finished 17-1-2 and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament, while the 2006 team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Rhodes, a De Pere native, was a decorated college player at the University of Massachusetts. Rhodes was a first-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection during his senior year of 2002, and was also an All-New England Selection. Rhodes helped the Minutemen to a pair of A-10 regular-season championships, one A-10 Tournament title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Division I Tournament in 2001.

Rhodes is the general manager and director of coaching for the Sports Emporium in De Pere. He has also been involved in coaching for De Pere Select Soccer since 2007, and holds a USSF “C” National Coaching License.
